Meet Zeke - courtesy post
Will you throw the ball for me? It's my favorite thing in the world. Both my parents recently passed away and I would REALLY love to be in my new home for the holidays. I’m such a good boy, I know so many cues and did I say, I love to play ball?
I have a bit of hip dysplasia so I need my meds but I’m told they’re not too expensive. I will reward you with all my heart and will be your very best friend.
Here’s some of my backstory: I’m a happy boy, but unfortunately my story is not so happy. I lost my beloved Daddy to Covid in March of 2020. He was a decorated Marine and taught me so many cues and how to fetch a ball — any ball, like a champ. My Mom did the best she could to take care of me and my cat siblings; but sadly, she recently died, too, and I don't understand why my life has been interrupted this way.
The nice man from animal control that found me after my Mom was found said that I was sad and confused, but as soon as he took me into his arms, I laid my head in his lap.
I have family in NC, but my arthritis has made it difficult for me to travel too far, so I’m hoping someone with a big, understanding heart out West may want to help me heal. I am currently being fostered but this is only temporary until I can find a forever living home.
I’m approximately 6 years old, about 100 lbs., housetrained, neutered, vaccinated and I get along with cats and most other dogs. I'm very sweet and just need some stability after everything I've been through. I know my humans didn't want me to be left alone, so their friends are doing their best to help me. I'm housebroken and very smart, just a bit shellshocked. I’m currently in a home in Carbondale, CO. So excited to meet you!
