Meet Woody
Hi! I'm Woody! I'm about 6-7 months old, and I weigh 27 pounds. I may be an Australian Shepherd mix, and that makes me smart and really cute all at the same time!
I was found as a stray in Arkansas and I'm being fostered in Parker, Colorado. I adore my foster dog-sisters Rosie (a yellow Lab) and Honey (a ridgeless Rhodesian ridgeback). I may be small but I love to play with dogs of any size! I want to be a lap dog and can go straight from bolting across the yard to sitting in a child's lap falling asleep. I have never met a dog or person I didn't like. I haven't been exposed to a cat in my foster home, so I don't know what they are!
Besides my foster family, my favorite thing is my little plastic pool. Check out my fabulous videos below! In one of them you'll see me spalshing around and biting the water. I love to fetch tennis balls and I love to run. Ideally I would have a home with another dog and kids!
I've had all my shots, been neutered (gulp), and I have a microchip! My vet says I'm healthy but I do have a few issues from being on the street. I have a tail that's broken in two places, but it doesn't hurt at all, and I wag it constantly --- It's part of my cute personality! My biggest issue is that I have a visual defect in my left eye, likely from running into a small stick or twig. It doesn't hurt me and it's likely just a small deficit, as I can run and play very normally. I'll just need some follow-up care.
My Summit Dog family says that a home with a fenced yard and people who will spend time wtih me and love me would be ideal!
For more info about me, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application, fill it out and send it in! A nice volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
