Meet Waffle - adopted
Say hello to Waffle! This social butterfly is all love and spunk. Confident and playful, this adorable angel girl has the energy for a good walk or a romp around the backyard. Afterwards, she is happy to curl up with you for some snuggle time so you can pet her fluffiness.
Waffle was born in September 2017, and we estimate she’ll be a small-medium dog when fully grown. She is thought to be a Spitz/Aussie Shepherd mix, and she currently weighs 8 lbs.
Waffle enjoys playing with dogs of all sizes, also with kids and tennis balls as well as sunning herself in the backyard. She’s confident enough to play constantly with a 50-lb. German Shepherd in her foster home. She’s smart and food-motivated, which makes her a great candidate for positive-reinforcement training. She’s such an angel of a puppy, her foster family is going to have a hard time letting her go!
She LOVES and needs toys, and enjoys dog beds and her chewie toys. She’s been known to bark at cats, and even though she’ll bark if other dogs are barking around her, she’s not very vocal otherwise. Plants need to be kept out of her reach because she wants to chew on the leaves.
She also LOVES being outside, so we’d love her to go to a home with a fenced-in yard. She’s doing well at housetrining even though she’s still a puppy.
Her crate-training is in progress! Waffle is in a crate during car rides, while alone at home, and at night for sleeping. Although she initially cries for five minutes when crated, she’s learning how to crate well.
