Meet Toby

Toby is a 14-month-old Border Collie/Aussie Shepherd mix with a million dollar smile! He's a sweet and small-ish guy around 30 lbs. He's neutered and up to date on his doggie shots.
He's a bit timid with people at first and he's slightly unsure on leash, so he'll need adopters who can be patient and loving with this sensitive boy.
Toby is endearing with his sweet nuzzles and the shy way that he snuggles up for a pet.
Preference given to Boulder area applicants or folks who live with a little bit of land around them. Toby is a bit unsure meeting new dogs on leash, and our ideal situation for Toby would be someone close to open space who could just hike him off leash (yes, he seems that good with just a touch of training). We really could see him hiking the Boulder foothills or going to Coot Lake. On leash, dogs make him nervous (as they should, how would you like to be small and be tied to a human as large, unknown dogs approached you?).
