Meet Toby!

Hi!  I'm Toby!  I'm a big hunka love and I just want to find my forever family!

I'm a 2-1/2 year old beautiful big red goofball, probably some sort of St. Bernard/Lab/Mastiff mix, and I'm around 95 lbs. My foster mom says I'm a real show-stopper with my red silky fur. People literally stop while driving by when we're out walking to ask about me --- and if I could, I'd give them all a cuddle!

I'm as sweet as I can be, and people tell me I'm bigger than I think I am!  After all, I'd love to just climb in your lap and give you endless kisses and cuddles. I'm really great on leash with a harness, and pretty good off leash on mountain trails as well. I love my walks and do well with other dogs I meet out and about, and I love all people.

I'm a fairly moderate level energy dog, happy with leisurely walks and happy to chill out at home. I'm still young, so I'd prefer not overly long days at home without company.

I currently live with my foster mom and love her 18 lb. Boston Terrier. In fact, I play very gently with her --- I totally respect her size and listen carefully when I'm too much, meaning, I know enough to back off very kindly. My foster mom says I am VERY sweet and loving with my tiny pal.

I also do very well with her grumpy senior Weimaraner. What this means is, I'm just a flexible, easy-going kind of guy!  I can be a bit clunky with my size, so I'd love a home that would understand I don't mean to step on your toes with my big feet from time to time --- so maybe no really little kids for me, though I do love them and am very gentle.

I'm great in the car, and despite having started life as an outdoor dog my housetraining came along very quickly --- proving I'm smart as well as loving. I keep four on the floor, I stay off the furniture, and I listen very well and mind my manners. I'm crate-trained (although my foster mom doesn't use one with me, she thought you'd like to know).

I'll soon be ready to go! I'm finishing heartworm treatment and I have a little eye issue that needs a tiny cosmetic fix. Once I'm neutered and once all those treatments are done, I'd love to move in with my forever people. Contact SDR for more info!
Hey!  Guess what --- My foster made this video of me playing with my current best buddy!  I love to play!
