Meet Rosa - courtesy post
Meet Rosa!
Rosa is an approximately 4-year-old Shepherd/Husky mix looking for an active, loving home. She's a wonderful part of her family but they realize they cannot give her what she needs, and feel she'd be better off in a different home.
Rosa is energetic, athletic, curious, pack-oriented, food-motivated and smart! She'd love a home where she gets a lot of attention and daily exercise. She loves the dog park. She'd also be an amazing agility dog if her adopters wanted to give her agility training.
Rosa has some separation anxiety but it hasn't been a problem since her people adopted a second dog. For this reason, a great forever home for Rosa would be one with another friendly dog in the household so she'd have a doggie companion with her when she's left at home.
She's crate-trained, spayed, and up to date on her doggie shots.
She's been known to be an escape artist, and has occasionally escaped from her family's backyard. She's not trying to run away -- it's just that she loves a good romp in the neighborhood. Her adopters will therefore need to have a 6-foot fence to keep this adventurous girl safe and sound.
Her people are saying No Cats in the home, please and thanks, as she's prey-driven and will chase/attack kitties, chickens and rabbits if given the chance.
But she's great with other dogs and children.
Rosa's adoption fee is $100. She comes with a collar, an Easy Walk harness, leash, large crate, food bowl, dog bed, kibble, chews and treats.

Disclaimer: The companion animal you are interested in is a courtesy post. Summit Dog Rescue often helps dogs and cats outside our organization to find their forever homes, and these are called "courtesy posts.” By courtesy posting pets from owners and other rescues, we offer our website (and sometimes email assistance) as a resouce to help their pet gain extra exposure. The pet’s bio comes directly from the owner or rescue, and we expect them to provide accurate information, to the best of their knowledge. Summit Dog Rescue in most cases has not met or evaluated these companion animals, so no information about a courtesy post dog or cat is guaranteed. We cannot accept responsibility for any injury or damages to any person or property caused by any courtesy post animals. Courtesy post pets are the sole responsibility of the owner and the adopter. In addition, SDR cannot take these pets in if the courtesy post adoption does not work out.
Also, although we occasionally might ask you to email us (if you’re interested in adopting a courtesy post pet), it’s just so we can help the owner or rescue connect with applicants. You’ll be adopting your new pet directly from the owner or the other rescue, not from Summit Dog Rescue. Please let us know if you’re comfortable with us sharing your information with the owner of the courtesy post pet.
