Meet Penny

Hi!  I'm Penny!  I'm new to Summit Dog Rescue and my foster folks are learning more about me every day!

I'm about 9-10 months old and they think I'm a mix of the elegant Vizsla and funloving Lab!  That gives me an excellent nose, gentleness, liveliness and a wonderful affectionate nature.

I love playing with other dogs, and I'm good with cats and kids. The rescue people say they think I'll be about 45 pounds when I'm all grown up!

Some wonderful people found me on the street in Arkansas, and now I'm living with the nicest people in Colorado while I look for my forever home.

You can see in some of my glamour shots below that I have a curlicue on my chest that looks like the top of a soft ice cream cone!

The rest of me is nice, too --- I'm a sleek, svelt, lovely girl but I also love to get the zoomies when there's a ball around.  Let's play!

I'm also a pretty good kisser, and I love chicken treats!  Are you my forever humans?  I hope so!

Here's what my foster mom has to say:   "She is super smart and learns quickly. She's super agile and FAST and would make an amazing canine sport dog. She's a master cuddler and a chicken connoisseur (but let's be honest, she loves all food and is super food-motivated!). She does best with other well-adjusted dogs around and picks up a ton of cues from other dogs. She is slow to warm up to strange people, but does well if you take it slow with her, and she's improving every day."

In other words, I'm the perfect dog for active, fun people!

If you'd like more info about me, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application, fill it out and send it in. A nice volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
