Meet Peaches

Peaches is just a gentle, sweet, sensitive girl looking for her forever home.

Peaches’ foster family says she is super smart, uses the doggie door with ease, and goes to her crate with a cue! She loves to play with their three dogs.  She enjoys snuggling and playing and is getting more confident every week. Her favorite thing is to go out to Coot Lake or Dry Creek with her foster mom and dog friends - and run and play. She has fairly good recall, and her foster mom says with some time she should be an excellent off leash dog (as long as you keep working with her!).

Peaches loves adventures - and would be an excellent hiking partner for a Colorado lifestyle. She is also trustworthy at home - crated for reasonable hours. Kind of the best of both worlds.  She is shy, though, and will need someone understanding of a sensitive dogs - and willing to work on confidence building. Peaches is getting more confident every week with the training and socialization her foster mom (a trainer) is doing with her.

Peaches is about 6  months old (born 7-4-2017), 20 lbs with a gorgeous light colored coat and pretty eyes. “Peachy” snuggles with her foster parents and is happy with lots of love and attention.

We think this special girl is an Aussie/Border Collie mix, but whatever her breed mix is, she’s a beautiful soul.

Note:  We're requiring with no exceptions that Peaches' forever home has a fenced yard, another dog, and no kids.

To find out more about this sweet girl or to apply to adopt her, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application, then fill it out and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
