Meet Panda - adopted

Hi!  I'm Panda!

I’m a 1-year-old, 80 pound St. Bernard mix, and a lot of fun to be around. I’m housetrained, neutured, and up to date on all my vaccinations!

I'm a snuggly, extra goofy guy who loves walks, peanut butter, and lying in any comfy spots I can find - especially on your furniture and even if somebody’s already there. :)   I'm learning to be confident and well-behaved with the help of my foster brother, so I think I would do really well in a family who has a confident, patient resident dog (but my foster parents say I could also be fine on my own). I’m still learning boundaries and personal space, so younger (or older), more impatient dogs might find me annoying. If you give me a few pets and talk to me, I will probably snuggle up as close to you as I can get, sometimes in your lap because even though I'm big, I'm still young and cuddly.

Because I'm still so young, I think I would do best with a family that can either take me to daycare a couple days a week or hang out and play with me all day. My foster parents say I’m okay with free roam in the house and being home alone for a few hours, and I should be okay when I’m older;  but spending all week home alone while you’re at work right now sounds so boring and I might get in trouble. I also love to be around my people when they’re home, so I don’t do well in a crate when everybody is sleeping and not there with me.

I walk very well on a leash and know a few commands like Sit, Down, Up, and Wait. I'd love to find a family who wants to walk me and play with me and then take me home for lots of snuggles and pets while we laze around together. Although I haven’t met too many kids yet, I've done fine with a baby and could do really well with an older kid in my family to grow up and be best friends with.

I can’t wait to find my forever family so we can run and play and snuggle and nap together!

XOXO,

Panda aka Panda Bear

Note:  Panda wil most likely need to go to a home with another resident dog.
