Meet Outback
Ready for a laff riot? Outback's your man!
Outback will get you laughing in no time as he's a master of All Things Toy! If you put 5-10 toys in a pile in your yard, he'll run around like a kid in a candy store trying to figure out which one he wants. He'll pick one up in his mouth and he'll get the zoomies; then if you throw another toy he'll drop the one he has and zoom around with THAT one in his mouth. Then he'll settle down on the grass with his favorite one between his paws, happy to just hang out and enjoy the scene.
He's also an expert at Treat Toss. Check out his cookie-catching skills in his slideshow below!
Outback was found in a parking lot in Arkansas, and he went home with the family who found him. A network of terrific volunteers brought him to Colorado, and now that he's here some very lucky people will get to adopt him. Could that be you?
Outback is an 18-month-old, 55 lb. Australian Shepherd/Hound mix. When he's not playing he's actually a laid back kinda guy and would love to snuggle with you. We think he's really smart as he happily focuses on people and he loves to connect.
Not only is he great with people, he's terrific with dogs of all sizes. Right now there are Chihuahuas and big dogs in his foster home and he's OK with all sizes of canines. He also lives well with kitties and kids.. He's microchipped, neutered, and up to date on his doggie shots. We think he'll be a super dog for people who are active and love to go places with him.
If you're interested in finding out more about this great guy, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application, fill it out and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
