Meet Matilda - adopted
i! I'm Tilly! I am a 6 month old little mix who loves to snuggle with my people and play with dog friends.
This sweet little girl is looking for her forever home!.
Tilly is kind of a perfect package. She will top out probably around 30 lbs
- and she is always up for adventure but is medium to low energy in the house. This means she could go for walks and hikes but then curl up and chill when you are working or you need downtime. We find this ability quite a unique quality in a young dog.
Tilly is 6 months old as of 10/1/10. She is crate trained, good with cats and loves to play with dogs. We have really no idea what her breed is. We see terrier for sure (maybe Jack Russell?) and then something bigger and way more mellow... so we thought maybe lab? Or maybe a setter or pointer. Hard to know.
She's incredibly smart and is treat motivated by yummy treats. Her best life would include another dog in the home to show her the ropes! Often having a resident dog really helps a young dog who has had a rough start in life feel confident - so while we will consider a great home without another dog... our ideal home for her would include a resident dog.
Tilly is a little cautious meeting new men, and being in new situations but she warms up very quickly. We are working on her confidence and she is blossoming.. Whoever adopts her needs to keep working on socialization. Tilly (and her brother) were being given away as snake food in a bucket outside a walmart in louisianna ... so her early puppyhood was not so special.
Tilly has lived with kids and done beautifully. She currently lives with teenagers , 2 cats and 2 dogs and goes to doggie daycare once a week. She did attend puppy socialization classes with Doggy Geeks in Lafayette.
