Meet Lainey (fka Elena)

Hello!  My name is Lainey, and that’s short for Elena.  I'm a 55 lb., 2 year old Plott Hound mix.  My foster mom says I steal the hearts of everyone I meet because I'm so affectionate and sweet. She calls me her smiling angel because I like to smile.  My foster mom is always telling me how beautiful my eyes are and how soft my fur is.

Here’s some more good stuff about me . . . I’m crate trained, housetrained, heartworm negative, spayed and up to date on all my vaccinations.  I’m also smart and easy to train.  Because I’m a little older, I’m done with all those puppy shenanigans.  Even though I’m a little older, I do still have a silly and playful side.

I love people!  While I’m a bit shy at first, I do enjoy meeting new people and getting pets and loves from them.  I’ve met a few children and liked them, too.  I get along great with other dogs and cats, and would love to have another dog in my new home to be my buddy and playmate.

I enjoy hanging out at home, either cuddling while watching TV or looking out the window.  But when it's time to go on an adventure and the leash comes out, I'm ready to go!  My foster mom says I'm good on leash and that I ride well in the car. Whether it's running, going to the park or hitting the trail, I love to go on adventures!

I can’t wait to find my forever home!  If you think we would be a great match for each other, please go to www.summitdogrescue.org, click Adopt on the toolbar, click Dog Application, fill it out and email it back to SDR.  A volunteer will get back to you as soon as they can!

XXXOOO,

Lainey (fka: Elena)
