Meet Koda - adopted
Howdy! My name is Koda and I’m an 18-month-old German Shepherd mix. I’m a bigger guy weighing in at about 80 lbs. I’m an energetic, playful pup who loves to go on walks and car rides. I walk well on leash when I’m wearing my Freedom harness. I’m kind of a country boy, so I’m still getting used to the sights and sounds of the city when we go for walks.
I like other dogs, but I play kind of rough so other dogs don’t really enjoy playing with me. For that reason, foster mom thinks I’d do best in a home with no other dogs. Oh, and no kitties, please.
My dream home would be a home where I get lots of love and attention and get to go on many adventures. Daily exercise is a must for me. I’m super smart and learn fast, but because I’m a puppy at heart and still learning, foster mom says I need someone who will be dedicated about continuing my training.
I’m housetrained and crate-trained. I love to job shadow my people and help them with their chores, although foster dad is always mumbling something about me not being as helpful as I think. When I get enough exercise, I’m very good about relaxing and hanging out in the house. One of my favorite things to do is sleep on my blanket next to foster mom’s desk while she works on the computer. You’ll never be lonely when I’m around, because I’ll always be by your side.
I can’t wait to find my forever home! If you think I might be just the dog you’ve been looking for, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application, then fill it out and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
