Meet Jake - adopted
Hello, my name is Jake, love bug extraordinaire! I’m the perfect mix of active pup and couch potato, which means I’m always up for an adventure or down for snuggles and belly rubs.
I'm housetrained and do well in my crate, especially if you give me a little treat when it’s time to “kennel up.” I LOVE food and am eager to learn new things when treats are involved!
I’m working on training in my foster home --- I’m smart and already know “sit” and “lie down.” I’m sure to be the star student when I go to basic manners classes someday. Not only that, but if you make a squeaky sound, I'm likely to demonstrate my adorable epic head tilt for you!
I love to go on walks, play with my furry foster brother Murphy and chew on my favorite bones. However, my favorite thing is cuddles on the couch after a nice long walk. I’m an excellent snuggle bug, and my coat is velvety soft, so I’m sure after-walk-cuddles will soon be your favorite thing too!
I go to daycare a couple days a week, and my human friends there say I’m so good with all the other dogs. I do like to play and socialize.
I’m 40 lbs. and around 10 months old. (I was probably born in May 2018, but I’m not too good with dates). The doctor thinks I’m a mountain cur/boxer mix, which means I’m super lovable and fun! I’m a big fan of my doggy foster brother Murphy— we snuggle and play all day long. The kitties in my foster home love to run from me, so I will chase them --- I mean, who wouldn’t? So, a cat-free home might be best.
I can’t wait to meet my new family! I would really like another dog in my new home, so I can play and learn from a big brother or sister. I am ready to start my new life of adventure and cuddles!
If you want more info and/or to apply to adopt me, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application, then fill it out and send it in. A nice volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
