Meet Gus - adopted

UPDATE 12-30-20:   We're looking for a Boulder/Denver area foster or adopter for Gus. He has a ride to Colorado January 17 if we can find a foster home or adopter for him here in Colorado.
--------------------------------

Gus is a 7 month old, beautiful big puppy who needs a committed home that is a better fit for him.  If this post is up, he is available.

His ideal home would have a big yard and someone devoted to working with him. Please read about our process. We require an application, a phone interview, a Zoom home visit and that you sign up for training with a force-free trainer.

Gus lives with other dogs (Chihuahuas) and a parrot, and enjoys being around all of them. He is a super sweet boy who adores people and has a lot of exuberance.  He is already 62 lbs. and growing!  This boy is a special boy and we are looking for an exceptional home for him.

Gus has not been around cats, but since he is friends with the parrot, we'd think if you were committed to working with him - it could work for him to live with cats.

Gus has dew claws, so we suspect Livestock Guardian in the mix, even though he does look Newfie or Flat-Coated Retriever as well. He has webbed feet. LARGE webbed feet!  He is a barker outdoors.

Gus is located near Ashland, Oregon.

We'll post more about Gus here soon. In the meantime if you want more info and/or to apply to adopt Gus, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application;  then fill it out and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
