Meet Ginger - adopted

UPDATE:  GINGER is being evaluated and is not yet up for adoption. It could take a month or more to determine what her needs are;  and in particular we are slowly evaluating how she feels about other dogs. She came from a hoarding situation.

Also, she is very overweight, and so as of now she is not active - but we aren't sure if she is just a lazy dog or if she will lose that weight and then be super active.

So - erring on the side of caution we have decided to hold off on placing Ginger for the time being. Stay tuned if you are interested - and we will update once we feel she is ready.

Ginger just arrived and is settling in to her foster home. She was rescued from a hoarding situation in Arkansas, but you'd never know that she was living outdoors in a pen 24/7 just recently.  She is looooving life indoors, as a beloved family member.

She's a sweet, cute and beautiful Basset Hound / Lab mix around the age of 3, weighing about 45 lb. She's really mellow, and up until recently she was living in an outdoor pen 24/7.

She is housetrained, snuggly and playful. She will need to continue her weight loss program in her forever home.

More info coming soon.
