Meet Galileo & Luna!
These adorable kittens are 3-month-old Norwegian Forest Cats — a bonded brother and sister pair who will only be adopted together.
Galileo (male) and Luna (female) have been fostered in a loving Colorado home with their kitty parents who were recently adopted.
They’re playful and curious, affectionate and smart! They love to sit on their cat tower watching birds and squirrels!
These fluffy babies love drinking water from their water fountain and enjoy a healthy wet food diet.
Their mama cat has been nursing them for the past 3 months and they are now ready to be on their own and provide love and happiness to their future family.
Here’s a note from the family who adopted the kittens’ dad, King Arthur, with info about Norwegian Forest Kitties:
I took Arthur home July 8 and want to supply some temperamental background for anyone lucky enough to adopt King Arthur’s babies.
Arthur is a very bright cat with a sweet, lovable nature. He’s very affectionate — purring almost constantly — yet he likes to be independent and make up his own mind. He always wants to be in the same room with his people except when he is taking a snooze.
Norwegian Forest Cats are talkers, and he chirps and trills to express himself. He’s very energetic and loves to play with his toys and go from window to window in the house to watch birds and other wildlife. He loves his cat trees and enjoys sitting in the throne at the top surveying the Kingdom. This is where I will usually find him first thing in the morning. These kitties are cautious (but not fearful), and patience will be rewarded.
Because their fur is thick, dense and waterproof you do have to brush them several times a week during the warmer months – a brush and a comb combination works well for this, and they really enjoy the attention. They lose quite a bit of fur during the summer months, but they don’t shed like a typical cat; and the combing will keep the hair from matting. These cats should not have their fur cut or shaved; the fur helps to regulate their body temperature.
Arthur loves petting and having his belly rubbed, which is unusual for a cat. Please consider giving Arthur’s babies a good home – this is a great breed of cat! — and all the love you give these kitties will be returned to you over and over again.
For more info and/or to apply to adopt Galileo and Luna, send us an email at [email protected], telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
