Introducing Boomer!

He's an adorable and spunky 6-year-old, 55 lb. Golden Doodle looking for a great forever home after circumstances related to the Marshall Fire. He's a very snuggly boy!

Boomer used to be in an excellent training program to help him with some arousal issues that he has, but his loving people no longer have the time and lifestyle to meet his needs. Boomer will needed continued training with a force free trainer from our list.

This sweet, goofy, handsome and smart boy is totally food motivated. That's a great thing:  it means he pays attention during training. He also is active and needs a lot of time and commitment to meet all of his dog requirements.

SDR wants to place him in an active home with people who have a yard, space for him to play and roam, and most of all, time to spend with him so he can explore this big world and have a lot of fun in life. He is leash reactive, so training and commitment is a must.

His ideal home would have space for him to run (or close access to nature trails), proximity to Boulder so we can help support his adopters (although this is not required, but your training budget would need to be higher if you live farther away and cannot utilize our free behavior support).

Please listen to our Pod To The Rescue episode on arousal if you are considering applying for Boomer.

Also, although he is good with kids and lives with a small child, we are saying no children - because Boomer needs to be the priority.

For more info on Boomer the Doodle, send us an email of inquiry to SummitDogRescue@yahoo.com, explaining a bit about yourself, your lifestyle, and your home life. A volunteer will get back to you as soon as they can.
