Hi! I'm Boogie! They tell me I'm a really handsome guy, but all I know is, I love to play and I love to love! I'm currently on the lookout for a great new home because my people say I wasn't nice to a couple of people (one of whom was inebriated) who got in my face. I mean, really..... what would you do in that situation? Anyway here's what my awesome foster mom says about me as an explanation:

I don't usually ask for help for a dog but Boogie REALLY needs help. In fact, he probably needs a miracle... I have included many of you that he may not be a fit for anyways, but PLEASE, please, please network him to others that may be able to help him.
Boogie is a wonderful Border Collie mix, approx 6yrs old, and around 60lbs. He is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on his shots. He is also house and crate trained. He has been working with a trainer for several months and knows/follows commands very well. Great with cats and other dogs. An overall amazing dog! Here's the story that puts him peril--
His family has had him since he was a few months old. About 2 years ago, he started to display what they term "aggressive behavior." However, they only report two incidents in that time frame and both were of people getting in his face. (They admit one person was drunk when he got in Boogie's face.)
They recently had a baby and were worried about Boogie being with the child. So, they started Boogie with a trainer in Houston. The trainer raves about Boogie, and states that he would keep Boogie in a heartbeat if he didn't already have 4 dogs and a newborn baby himself. (He also cried when he dropped Boogie off to me for transport.) I was contacted to see if I could help Boogie find a place to go. He was all set to go to Longmont Humane Society until the owners "revealed" that Boogie had bitten someone (previously stated he had not, just nipped at the two in his face) They claimed Boogie bit the trainer --- who vehemently denies that ever happened. Unfortunately, this disqualifies him going to LHS.
Boogie has been with me for a little over a month, and I can attest that he is WONDERFUL! I could have a thousand of him with NO problem. He is gorgeous, and a sweet, soft, quiet soul. There are just not enough great words to describe how awesome this dog is!! However, I can not keep him past the first week of June. If I can not find a place/have a plan for him by this time, I will be forced to return him to his owners to decide his future.
I understand that it is very difficult for someone to take on a possible bite case, but I promise you he is well worth a moment of thought. It breaks my heart to think of such a wonderful dog being put down simply because his owners couldn't/wouldn't stand by their other child.

He is currently in CO, but I am willing to transport him just about anywhere to keep him alive. ---
