Meet Aspen
Hi, I'm Aspen! I'm a sweet 2-year-old spayed Husky female looking for forever love! I'm now settling into my foster home in Boulder and I'm loving life in the mountains. People are quick to say how beautiful I am — and, sure, that's true :) — but there's more to me than electric blue eyes and a dulce de leche coat.
I love to go out running or hiking in the mountains, and I'm incredibly polite in my harness: You let me explore a little, and I will stay close and follow your lead. Deal? Oh, and please bring chicken and bacon-flavored treats. Better yet, roast chicken and steak. What can I say — I appreciate the finer things in life.
I'm confident, humble, and friendly. I walk with my head high and a smile on my face. I'm unfazed when other dogs bark, but I never do. In fact, I have great manners inside, too. The only sound I make is an adorable groan when I'm excited that we're going outside for a walk first thing in the morning. Oh, I'm super smart, too. I can learn whatever you teach me. In the afternoon, I like it when you fill a Zogoflex with treats or get me something tasty to chew on.
Did I mention that I really like affection? You'll know I'd like some love when I come over, put my paw on your leg and stare into your eyes or lay my head in your lap.
My foster dad thinks I'm the best dog on earth. When you meet me you'll want to be with me forever :)
Summit Dog Rescue says that all applicants must have a fenced yard, and no apartments or condos; also no kids under the age of 12 as per SDR policy. Husky experience is preferred, please and thanks.
If you want more info and/or to apply to adopt me, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application; then fill it out and send it in. A nice volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
