Meet Aspen - adopted
Hello, my name is Aspen and aren’t I about the most beautiful girl you have ever seen??
I get so many compliments on my ice blue eyes, but it’s my coat that is most spectacular. My foster mom says I’m like snuggling up to a Cashmere sweater, and boy do I like to snuggle. I love my humans and want to be wherever they are.
The vet thinks I am about two to three years old. I'm for sure a Husky mix, but the mix part remains a mystery --- maybe Corgi, maybe Heeler, maybe Shiba Inu? Since I was found as a stray and landed in a Texas shelter, I don’t know much about my past, but that’s okay. My future is a blank slate and is certain to be bright.
I absolutely love the outdoors, whether that's on a walk, going for a car ride, or hanging out on my “perch” looking out the window. I really hope my new people will have a nice fenced yard for me to play in. My foster mom says I'm just a lovebug and I really like attention, so much so that I don’t want to share my people with another dog, so a home where I am the only dog is best.
I've been living with three cat friends and have learned to leave them alone. In case you didn’t know, they have claws…yikes! I'm working on lying quietly in my crate, but l’m impatient for my people to come back and am still learning that it’s okay to have some alone time.
I’d love it if my new people could be home with me to help me continue these lessons. I have no destructive habits, and seem to have all the “puppy” worked out of me. I’m spayed, fully vetted, and heartworm negative. I’m pretty much awesome.
If you think I'm the perfect dog for you, or if you want to know more about me and/or to apply to adopt me, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application; then fill it out and send it in. A nice volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
