Meet Ace
Ace is a total sweetheart and a total goofball who is working his way into the hearts of all the Summit Dog Rescue volunteers. He is about a year old, and most likely a cattle dog and shepherd mix.
Like many dogs we rescue from the Houston area, he is heartworm positive and does have a shoulder injury - but we are getting him into the best vets and he is well on his way to recovery.
Ace is housetrained, neutered and current on his vaccionations.
Here's what his foster mom says about him:
"Quick Ace update! He is an absolute LOVE. Will just follow us from room to room to be near people. He was a star at his photo and video shoot yesterday and got to meet some of the Summit Dog Rescue Volunteers. His leg/foot/shoulder really is quite bad. He is rarely putting weight on his leg, and will often just sit down and try and eat at his paw... but despite this is he is still super happy (see his video here soon). He is VERY close to knowing his name, and 'sit', and lets us know anytime he needs to go out. He doesn't love going into the crate, but once he is in there, he does not make a sound.
"Summit Dog Rescue is making a plan to get him in to see a specialist next week (hopefully). Get his leg healed, treat the heartworm, and someone is going to be VERY lucky to have this sweet boy."
For more information about this handsome, sweet boy, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application, fill it out and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
Ace now has his own video below, made by professional videographer/photographer Molly Steele (msteelephotography.com). Don't forget to also see his slideshow below Molly's video!
