Meet Koa - courtesy post
Hi folks, a year ago a rescue I volunteer for placed this gal, Koa in a wonderful home near Ft. Collins..(she was rescued from a high kill shelter in CA). Fast forward a year and she needs to find a new home through no fault of her own. (the family has fallen on some hard times meaning conflict/difficulty/divorce/ blended family of kids/ moving and they can't manage having a dog now) -- obviously this is very upsetting for all, but we all know she deserves a great home and our rescue commits to helping dogs for life.)
Koa is a very special dog..She is GREAT with kids of all ages including little ones, and has yet to meet another mid-large sized dog she doesn't like (She gets a little too excited with smaller dogs and cats, however). She needs regular, short leash walks and can't exert herself too much due to an old leg injury, but she's mostly a couch potato anyhow. (she had surgery to repair a damaged ACL a few years ago and one of her hind legs didn't properly heal so she's a bit stiff/gimpy). She would be an amazing family dog for anyone looking for a nice, medium energy pittie.
Because she shouldn't exert herself too much we don't recommend a home with another dog that is very high energy. She is approx. four years old, spayed and current on all vaccines etc too. And she's positively adorable. She's a short, squatty, snorty ball of affection.
Message me for more details about her and the adoption process -- we have a very basic adoption application to screen for good fit. Palseastbay@gmail.com or 415-385-2283
