Meet Goose - Poodle/Pyr mix - courtesy post
Hi, I’m Goose! 🐾
I’m a gorgeous 2-1/2-year-old Standard Poodle–Great Pyrenees mix -- an amazing blend of intelligence, gentleness, and devotion. I weigh about 70 lbs., and I'm neutered, housetrained and up to date on regular vet care.
I love my humans deeply and form strong, loyal bonds. I’m wonderfully content relaxing at home while my person works and have proven to be an easy companion in an apartment setting. That said, my person believes I would truly thrive with a bit more space -- ideally a home with a yard or in a suburban or rural setting where I can enjoy a calmer environment and room to stretch my legs.
I’m a thoughtful, steady dog who enjoys connection and companionship. I tend to take things in stride and appreciate kindness and consistency. Once I know you, I’m all in -- I'm loyal, affectionate, and quietly devoted. I love to cuddle with my person, and I especially love snuggling with you on the couch for a night of Netflix.
This rehoming decision comes from a place of love and care, with my person wanting to make sure I have the environment where I can be my very best self.
Things I am currently working on: Walking calmly past neighborhood dogs and meeting new people in my home (food rewards sure do help)!
My rescue team would like me to go to a home with people who understand my natural Pyrenees guardian traits or are willing to learn.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, grounded companion who will be deeply loyal and happy to share life at your side, I might be your Goose. 💛
For more info and/or to apply to adopt me, send an email to [email protected], telling them a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly.

Disclaimer: The companion animal you are interested in is a courtesy post. Summit Dog Rescue often helps dogs and cats outside our organization to find their forever homes, and these are called "courtesy posts.” By courtesy posting pets from owners and other rescues, we offer our website (and sometimes email assistance) as a resouce to help their pet gain extra exposure. The pet’s bio comes directly from the owner or rescue, and we expect them to provide accurate information, to the best of their knowledge. Summit Dog Rescue in most cases has not met or evaluated these companion animals, so no information about a courtesy post dog or cat is guaranteed. We cannot accept responsibility for any injury or damages to any person or property caused by any courtesy post animals. Courtesy post pets are the sole responsibility of the owner and the adopter. In addition, SDR cannot take these pets in if the courtesy post adoption does not work out.
Also, although we occasionally might ask you to email us (if you’re interested in adopting a courtesy post pet), it’s just so we can help the owner or rescue connect with applicants. You’ll be adopting your new pet directly from the owner or the other rescue, not from Summit Dog Rescue. Please let us know if you’re comfortable with us sharing your information with the owner of the courtesy post pet.
