Kittens! - adoptable in pairs
|
|
Meet our newest adorable kittens: Demi, Forte, Vivace and Staccato!
The kittens are about 6 weeks old and growing fast. We think they're a mix of Maine Coon and Ragdoll.
With proper, slow introductions, the kittens would be fine living with a resident feline. A resident dog would be considered too, as long as the dog is proven cat savvy and on the mellow side. The kittens and their mom will only be adopted to homes without children under age 12.
All four kittens will be available July 1st, and must be adopted with a littermate as these kittens are only available to adopt in pairs (Forte, Vivace, Staccato, and Demi).
Please read these articles from the Seattle Area Feline Rescue and Companion Animal Psychology on why it's a good idea to have two kittens in the house and not just one. You can also research Google for more info on the subject. Thanks.
Here's some info about each adorable kitten:
Demi (female):
Demi is the bravest of Fermata's kittens, maybe from battling all of those aliens? (Wait...that might be a different Demi...) Because she was much smaller than her siblings, she needed special care early on and as a result of all the handling involved, seems to be the bravest of the kittens and very snuggly. She enjoys entertaining herself with toys, but also wrestles with her siblings and plays with interactive toys with humans. When she's had her fill of play, she's an expert lap napper.
Staccato (male):
Staccato is the biggest of the kittens, and loves to wrestle and jump. He's a gentle giant as kittens go, and not the bravest of the siblings; he prefers to take time to observe new situations and people before exploring or interacting. Once he's familiar with his surroundings, he actively busies himself exploring. Staccato has the special distinction of having no tail, which made him look like a little bear when he was learning to walk, a lumbering little fur ball. He's gotten his feet under himself now and is growing into a snuggly adoptable kitten.
Vivace (female):
Vivace is aptly named, as she is a lively, affectionate, very playful girl. She's a more adventurous and confident kitten than her siblings. She is fluffy like her mama and is sure to grow up to be as beautiful.
Forte (male)
Forte is a handsome heartthrob, impressing people with the little white tip on his tail. He is a busy guy--he always has places to go and things to do. He loves to wrestle hard but does need plenty of time and support to adjust to new experiences. He's gaining confidence by the day.
For more info and/or to apply to adopt a pair of these cuties (and/or their mama Fermata), send an email of inquiry to SummitDogRescue@yahoo.com telling us a bit about yourself, your home life and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you as soon as they can.
