Meet Cody - courtesy post

Meet Cody! This adorable guy is 20 lbs. of cuteness. And don’t let his size fool you —-  he is up for adventure on walks and hikes but also happy to hang out at home and chill with his people.  He does great with other dogs and currently lives with a Lab, who is his big buddy.

Cody is a Corgi/ Terrier mix, fully vetted, house-trained and crate-trained. He walks nicely on leash with a harness, and like all dogs would love someone who will continue to teach him great new things as he matures into an adult dog.

Cody just turned one year old, so he is really a puppy still. He likes to play with toys and loves the kids in his home. However, he lacks confidence and doesn’t like to be grabbed. The kids continually grab him and he doesn’t like it. On rare occasion he has told the kids no - (dogs say no with their teeth). So although he loves kids, we are wanting a child-free home for him and someone dedicated to helping this little dude become more confident.

Cody sleeps in bed with one of his kids - so sweet. They are his world. But he can easily transition to a new home, and he needs to.

Please email newfylove2@gmail.com if you are interested in Cody.

He is a courtesy post but we would also ask that you fill out the SDR application and we will forward it on to his current guardians (who are rehoming because of his not liking to be grabbed by kids). To fill out the application,
go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application;  then fill it out and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
