This soulful boy is yearning for his forever home. Amos’s world has recently been turned upside down. He thought he had it --- brought into a family as an 8 week old puppy he spent his entire 6 1/2 years as a beloved pet. But sadly for everyone involved, his luck changed when he nipped the family toddler who was annoying him. Small kids don’t understand dog body language... and Amos finally made it clear he was not a stuffed animal.
We didn’t have a foster for Amos so he is in boarding at the wonderful Training Wheels, LLC in Broomfield. He loves the people there and if you throw his frisbee you will have a friend in him.
His ideal home would be quiet with a yard to play frisbee or just open land. We suspect his off leash recall would be stellar once he knows you.
Like so many border collies he is not enthusiastic about other dogs, but a patient person could get him to live with another dog. He had a dog sister for years, but she died last year.
Amos is up to date on his doggie shots, he's been neutered, and he's housetrained. You can see in his pics below that he loves his old cloth frisbee - his favorite toy - and he also loves sitting in his orange kiddie pool on a hot day!
