Meet Triton - courtesy post - adopted
Triton is a Great Pyrenees/Poodle mix available for adoption. He's a wonderful dog and has been part of his family for five years. He's adapted OK to one of the kids in the family, however he's starting to be unhappy with kids in general -- and twins are on their way, which might add to the doggie stress with three little ones in the household. His people want to keep him out of a shelter so are looking for adopters through this SDR courtesy post. Here's what his Mom has to say:
"Triton is a very sweet and loving dog. He would love to be a lap dog that snuggles all the time. He’s pretty goofy, too --- he likes to roll around on his back and play with blankets and will snuggle with toys. He’s also been known to hop in the bath tub. He likes to play with other dogs and will also play soccer with you if you kick the ball for him. He can be a bit mischievous and likes to steal food when no one is looking. He’s definitely a guard dog and likes to protect the house and yard. Triton would do better in a house with no kids or older kids. He does fine with other dogs and small dogs, except when on a leash. His ideal home is someone whose dog is their kid. He could use a big yard but would be ok with supplemented walks. He also needs a gentle hand with training --- someone who is gentle and very consistent. He weighs about 135 lbs. right now and is a pretty tall dog. He’s up to date on shots."
