Mr. Smiley - The Best Dog in the World
Samson (aka Mr. Smiley) is all smiles all of the time. About 8 years old and fit as a fiddle, he’s a bright-eyed and energetic mixed breed dog. He’s super smart and already knows lots of commands: “Sit” - no matter where we are or what is going on - he'll sit, “Shake” - right away & happy to do so, “Roll over” - right onto his back full of smiles. He almost speaks English! "You want to go in the car?" has him laughing and running to the garage door & bouncing up in air on all fours excitedly. "You want to go for a walk?" or "Go get your leash!" has him jumping the same but also running for his leash. "Where's your toy?" - He'll go find it. "No, not that one! Go get the other one" - He’ll leave the first one at your feet and go off to find another toy. If he doesn't understand your words, his cocked head & quizzical expression show how hard he's trying to understand. Samson’s greatest joy is to run around outside, sometimes for 45 minutes without stopping to rest. Others may call him a senior, but no-one told him! When he runs, he likes to look at his owner out of the corner of his eye to be sure his owner is correctly impressed with his form, stamina & speed, smiling all the while. He loves sleeping at the foot of the bed & often brings a toy to bed to sleep with. He's attentive, affectionate & interactive, always happy to receive a pet on the head or a scratch on the side. He is fully house trained, does not chew furniture or articles left around and has no need of a crate, even when left home alone. When you do come home, he’s so happy that his butt wiggles & his long tail wags so hard that it whacks him in the face as he's wiggling, but he doesn't stop... except maybe to run get one of his toys to bring back to you to show you how happy he is to see you. Samson is people friendly, but does a good job guarding (the mailman gets lots of barks). He is gentle with children and playful with other dogs. He hasn’t learned yet that a cat is not something to be chased.
Samson weighs about 45 lbs. He''s super easy and such a joyous character, he will be a perfect loyal companion in return for a loving forever home.
