Meet Ruby and Elliott - courtesy post

Meet Ruby (female, black) and Elliott (male, white), two rabbits extraordinaire! We're planning to move overseas and need to find a truly loving home that will keep these two together.

Ruby and Elliott were adopted at separate points in time from Longmont Humane Society. They became fast friends and now spend all of their time together. At night, they occupy a large and comfy dog crate, but by day they have access to a larger play area equipped with cardboard tunnels, boxes, and rabbit toys. Ruby and Elliott do not enjoy being picked up, but they enjoy having company, being petted, and receiving treats. They happily go into their crate for lock-up at night in exchange for treats. They eat fresh oat hay, timothy-hay pellets, and fresh greens each day.

Ruby and Elliott have had regular visits to Dr. Mones at Alpine Hospital for Animals in Boulder. They've been given clean bills of health. Their breeds aren't certain, but both are estimated to be about 2 years and 8 months old. They are both spayed/neutered.

We love these two and want to find an exceptional home for them. Because they do not like being picked up, they are not the best choices as pets for children. We'd like to find them a home with adults who adore rabbits and are already familiar with the joys and occasional challenges of caring for them. We are happy to send the crate, litter boxes, and other supplies we have along with Ruby and Elliott once the proper home is found. Ruby and Elliott are a bonded pair and must not be separated. Interested adopters should contact Elizabeth at goodwritten@gmail.com or 303-717-5628. Thank you!
