Meet Margee! She’s an 8-1/2-year-old unique mix of Yellow Lab, Dachshund, Beagle and Chihuahua. Her person recently passed away and the family is now looking for a good forever home for Margee.
Everyone loves her! She’s completely devoted to her people and will want to sleep with you in bed. She loves treats - so this will be good if you ever need to give her training. She's about 25 lbs., spayed and up to date on her doggie shots.
Margee might look into a new person’s eyes for a few minutes at a time, getting her energetic bearings and learning about them. Then once she figures out she’s safe, she’ll turn belly up for a good tummy rub.
She can be a bit timid around cats and other dogs, but a good training program can help her with this. We’re thinking she might do well as the only dog in the house.
She has a really sweet personality and loves the children in her neighborhood - maybe it’s because they’re closer in size to her - and that’s the same with smaller mellow dogs. She has pretty good recall if she wanders away from you.
Margee would love a large fenced-in yard and/or someone who can walk her every day.
