Meet Maggie!
This friendly, sweet girl is a 5-year-old Border Collie/Aussie Shepherd mix. She's spayed, up to date on her veterinary care, and weighs 50 lbs.
Maggie found her way into a shelter in Arkansas awhile back (where she currently resides). Sadly, at one point she was adopted out into what everyone hoped would be her forever home; but life threw her a curveball --- shelter volunteers found her tied to a tree. They quickly rescued her and brought her back into the shelter for safety, and now Summit Dog Rescue is stepping in to help bring her here to Colorado so she can start a whole new life in a great forever home.
Maggie is still the sweet, resilient girl the shelter staff always knew. She's well-fed and happy and her spirit is still strong!
She gets along well with other dogs in the shelter she's been in, and she doesn't seem to mind cats --- for instance, she just ignores the resident kitty. She's great with kids and strangers, and would make a great companion with lots of fun walks and adventures.
This girl would be perfect for hiking with you in the woods and helping you run errands, then coming home to snuggle by the fire for a night of binge-watching.
Maggie has survived so much -- and now she just needs someone who won’t give up on her. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s been through the worst and is still full of love, she’s your girl. Maggie's adoption fee is $395.
