Meet Juniper - she's looking for her forever home.

Juniper is a 2-3 year-old, 36-pound, red Australian Cattle Dog and she is looking for her forever home where she can get daily exercise and play to her heart’s content. Juniper can be cautious around new people, but warms up once comfortable, and enjoys snuggling and receiving lots of love and attention. Juniper loves to play with her toys, including a good game of Frisbee and a romp through the sprinkler.

Juniper is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. She might do well with the right dog buddy, but might be better as an only dog. Juniper is very enthusiastic, and in her foster home is learning to be calm around other dogs who might prefer a gentler style of play. Juniper would likely not do well with cats, small dogs, or other small animals. Juniper needs to be with a family with no young children, but dog-savvy teenagers might be okay. A fenced yard is needed;  a 6-foot privacy fence preferred.

Juniper will need a forever home that is dedicated to helping her learn how to be OK with moving trucks and barking dogs. Juniper is a sensitive girl who needs positive reinforcement training from a patient and understanding family. A family with experience with cattle dogs is preferred.

Juniper is spayed, has had a recent health exam, and is updated on her vaccinations. A $200 re-homing fee will go directly into training for the adopting family. Juniper will be able to take her toys, crate, food, gentle leader, and other items with her to her new home.

Potential adopters will be carefully screened to find the best forever home for Juniper. She is being fostered in NE Colorado, and for screening purposes, adoption in this area is preferred. For the perfect forever home, adoption in neighboring areas may be considered.
