Meet Jagger - courtesy post

Hi!  I'm Jagger! I'm a 55 lb. neutered one-year-old Lab/Collie mix, and I'm a loveable happy guy!

As you can see from my slideshow below, I love to play and I love people. Have to say I'm not a big fan of dog parks as my eagerness to inspect new friends is sometimes misunderstood by other dogs. But my person takes me to work with him and I've had some great interactions with other dogs there. In fact, I'd love to go to a home where my new person can take me to work, too!

I've mastered crate training and will go to my crate when you say "crate" and open it. If you could provide me with a great big crate that would be terrific! I know Sit and Lie Down (especially with a yummy treat on hand!) and I'm learning Stay. I'm not a big barker but I know how to let you know if there's something going on outside that you need to know about.

I'm not sure about kids yet, so they're saying maybe I should go to a home with no kids as I love to chew and have been known to gnaw on arms in a playful way -- which might be scary for a kid. Just keep a lot of bones and toys for me to carry around the house and I'll be even more happy!

I love to run and I have tons of energy, so any and all exercise you can give me would be super! I'm great off-leash in wilderness areas and I'll stay by your side. The more exercise you can give me, the better.

My person takes me fishing and that's totally cool!  But his job keeps him so busy he doesn't have enough time to give me all the attention I love, and reluctantly he's decided to find me the most ideal new home.

My tummy is a bit sensitive right now, but there's a really good food I can tolerate and it would be great if I could stay on this food!

I'm current on my rabies shots and almost current on others -- but a trip to the vet will take care of all of that.

If you'd like more info about adopting me, contact Tanner Shelp <handplant99(at)gmail(dot)com> and he'll be happy to tell you all about my favorite foods, how lovable I am, how much I love the outdoors, and all the rest!
