Meet Diesel - adopted

Hi! I’m Diesel! I’m a 1 year old Catahoula mix with gorgeous blue eyes. My foster mom and dad call me “Blue”’ as a nickname!

I’m fully housebroken and crate trained (although I’d much rather be with you). I am 45 lbs., neutered and have had all my shots. I’m very friendly and have energy to hike and explore with you. I’d do great with another dog who could show me the ropes. I love toys, and I love to snuggle. Time with my people is important to me!

My foster mom and dad take me on hikes and runs. I love being out and about with them! Since I’m still just a year old, I’m not supposed to run long distances yet, but I’m having a great time on these adventures.

I love teenagers.... I’ve lived with them, and they are so much fun. Now, I do have a secret....sometimes I pretend I’m a cat. My favorite place to lie is on the back of the couch. Don’t tell my doggy friends, though.
Another thing you should know is that I am deaf. I don’t know what that means, as I’ve been that way since I was born. But, don’t let that stop you from considering me. I’m active and happy! (And I sleep really soundly!) I’m working on learning hand signals…...I told you I am smart.

My foster mom is a positive trainer with Summit Dog Training who is teaching me all kinds of fun things. She can show you what we’ve learned so you can tell me to sit, stay, etc. I can’t wait to demonstrate my mad skills!

If you are ready for a young, energetic pup who loves to snuggle, please let the people at Summit Dog Rescue know!

For more info about me and/or to apply to adopt me, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application;  then fill it out and send it in. A nice volunteer will get back to you as soon as they can.
