Meet Mr. Cheese!
Cheese is a playful and attention-seeking orange Tabby boy. He gets along well with dogs – he even snuggles with his canine friends. He loves playtime: long wands are his favorite, but he also likes to chase balls and will even steal a dog toy if he sees it rolling by. Think of Cheesie as a mix between a Golden Retriever and a mountain lion - he's brave and affectionate - a totally friendly guy with a big purr. But he will set boundaries and bite and scratch you if he has had enough, which is why we are saying 'no kids".
He likes being up high (loves his cat tower) and bird-watching out the windows. While he likes getting attention, and rubbing on humans' legs, he prefers being near but not on laps. He also adores his scratching posts!
He'll do best with someone who can give him lots of attention and playtime. He is not at all shy around dogs.
Summit Dog Rescue is saying No Apartments or Townhomes for this boy, please and thanks.
Adopters must have a catio for this great boy. For a great example, his foster mom built a great catio onto her house so Cheesie can go outside safely whenever he wants. She can give you some guidelines and a reference if you need one.
SDR is giving strong preference to Boulder area adopters.
For more info and/or to apply to adopt Cheese, fill out a Kitty Application and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get back to you as soon as they can.
