Meet Bucky - courtesy post

Meet Bucky! This handsome fellow is a 6-year-old, 49-lb. Lab mix, and ready to find a new loving home!

He's neutered, fully vetted, housetrained, microchipped and up to date on his doggie shots. He's great with kids and plays nicely in the dog park with other dogs. He loves to play with his toys.

He doesn't do well with cats or other little furry creatures, though. He'd thrive in a home as an only pet so he can have undivided attention from his family. His people say there's another dog in the house -- an older, grumpy dog -- and it's been hard for them to adapt to each other -- thus the need to find Bucky a home where he can get all the attention and love he deserves.

Bucky is a sweet, smart, healthy and loyal boy. He's a Velcro dog who loves to be around his people. He's an active guy and would be a terrific hiking buddy with an adopter who could take him on great adventures, but he's also content just curling up in your feet while you're reading a book.

Bucky hasn't been crate-trained yet, but he's well-mannered when left to roam around the home when his people are gone.

Bucky walks nicely on leash with just his collar - i.e. no harness really needed. But he will chase bunnies -- they're just too fascinating!

Please find it in your heart to consider giving this boy the wonderful life he deserves.

For more info and/or to apply to adopt this sweet boy, send an email of inquiry to SummitDogRescue@yahoo.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your lifestyle and your home life. A volunteer will get back to you as soon as they can.
