Meet Brim - courtesy post - adopted?

Ten-month-old Brim needs a home. She's a female Boxer / Red Heeler mix, and she's spayed and up to date on her doggie shots. Here's what her people say about her:

"Brim is smart and loving, fun and playful and has learned a lot of things. She seems to get along with about any other dog and tolerates our cat well. She does have some anxieties towards certain random people. Our main challenge has been that she was very protective about her place, wanting to be as close as possible to either one of the adults in our family or our 13-year-old daughter. She would defend that place against our younger boys (11 & 8 years old). We have worked with two trainers so she would not bark and snap at the boys when they came close to those favorite spaces. We made a lot of progress. At this time, a home without kids would be best for Brim.

"Brim loves snow and hikes and belly rubs. She learned to lick rather than bite. She listens well to the basic commands indoors and is starting to do the same outdoors. She does not hunt or run off. She walks well on the leash and loves her crate. She loves to play ball with us. In the beginning she was fearful of many things, but she overcame most of them."

For more info and/or to apply to adopt Brim, go to the top toolbar, click Adopt, click Dog Application;  then fill it out and send it in. A volunteer from Summit Dog Rescue will get you in touch with Brim's people. Thanks.
