Meet Argos

Picture
Adorable Argos is available for adoption!

Are you searching for a tall, dark, handsome male who loves the outdoors and snuggling in bed?

Are you seeking an active yet intelligent guy who is as comfortable running through the forest as he is walking closely next to you, on a bustling trail?

Are you interested in a guy who enjoys using his nose, but also enjoys the finer things in life (steak, chicken followed by a dash of creek water)?

Argos could be your man. He is definitely a high achiever, and we have heard folks use descriptors such as "turbo charged" and "high octane", but don't let that completely fool you - when his needs are met, he is all about the Orvis dog bed and some Netflix (he enjoys romcoms).

If Argos wore clothes he would be a Patagonia wearer for sure... but also able to clean up in a nice suit if needed.

This boy is great out on hikes because he mostly ignores other dogs and people, but is friendly to anyone who says hi. However he does not like cats or prairie dogs (or maybe he does like them, but not in a socially acceptable way).

He must have a yard or land, and would do best in a home that was in or nestled next to open space. He HAS to have a big excursion every morning and his human has to be devoted to training and working with him daily (he is incredibly smart, and exercise alone is not enough to satisfy his needs).

His adoption fee includes some training with our certified professional trainer and ongoing support from SDR.

His particulars:   He's a 16-month-old fully-vetted purebred Labrador Retriever. Check out our Summit Dog Rescue Facebook page for live videos of Argos and to learn more.

Learn more on our website. Or shoot us an email at SummitDogRescue@yahoo.com and tell us about you, and why you think this tall glass of water might be a good fit.
