Hi! I'm Rory! I'm a young Border Collie / Cattle Dog mix, and I'm about 2-3 years old -- which they say is the perfect age! That means I'm past my puppyhood but not old yet.
My people say I'm a sweet soul and that I was saved from a Texas shelter at the last minute. I don't know what that means but I sure am happy I'm here in beautiful Colorado surrounded by great people!
My foster folks think I was obviously someone's dog, as I'm neutered, housetrained, and I love to be with people. I also love going out in the car! I'm crate-trained and trustworthy with free roam inside the house.
Not only that, but I'm great with cats, and I can live with other dogs --- but my foster people are thinking I'm more of a people dog. I follow my foster mom from room to room and I also love to romp in the back yard, but then I'm really happy to come in for some extra lovies!
Hey -- take me on walks and hikes and I'm extra happy!
My foster folks think the perfect home for me would be in the Boulder area or in the mountains, as I have mountain dog potential! I probably wouldn't love the traffic of city life in or near Denver, as they think I was a rural dog before I came here. They're also saying it would be great if my new forever family has some experience with Border Collies --- or at least an understanding of herding breeds.
